You will work closely with senior leadership and partner across the business to drive an AI‑first approach.The RoleYou will:Lead and guide the AI and Data Science teams at a strategic and hands-on level.Directly manage a team of four Data Scientists who are all delivering AI-focused work.Optimise and enhance an established product rather than build from scratch.Drive the move toward more AI‑led approaches across the wider 12‑person data function.Split your time 50/50 between hands-on technical work and people leadership.Bring strong technical expertise to decision making, setting direction, and championing best practice.Lead by example, contributing technically while developing and mentoring your team.Your Skills and ExperienceYou will need:Strong commercial experience working with Python.Experience with cloud platforms, ideally AWS.Knowledge of containerisation tools such as Docker or Kubernetes.A full‑stack mindset, with comfort working across the ML lifecycle.Experience line managing at least two people, ideally within teams of fewer than ten.A background in AI, Data Science, or ML Engineering, with the ability to lead through technical credibility.The desire to step up into a Head of AI role if you are currently at Manager level.What They OfferCompetitive salary and benefits package.Hybrid working with one day per week in Brighton.The chance to step into senior leadership and shape AI strategy.Opportunity to lead an established AI team from day one.How to ApplyPlease apply with your CV to register your interest in this Head of AI position, or email me at for more information.
