Senior Business Analyst – AILocation: London (Hybrid 3 days onsite)Reporting to: Head of Data, Analytics & Business AnalysisSalary Range: £120,000We’re working with a leading UK investment banking organisation looking to hire a Senior Business Analyst to support critical initiatives across equities trading, investment banking and data platforms.This role sits at the heart of front-office, operations and technology, translating complex business challenges into scalable technical solutions. A key part of the remit includes contributing to AI-led initiatives, from early concept through to delivery and ongoing optimisation.ResponsibilitiesPartner with front-office, operations and technology teams to define and deliver complex business and system requirementsTranslate business needs into clear functional and technical specificationsSupport initiatives across trading platforms, investment banking workflows and client servicesContribute to AI-related projects, helping assess suitability, scope and value of AI solutionsFacilitate workshops, design sessions and stakeholder forums across senior audiencesAct as a bridge between business and technology, ensuring alignment on scope, priorities and outcomesSupport delivery through the full SDLC, including testing, UAT, defect management and handoverPerform data analysis to validate requirements, support decision-making and ensure data qualityProduce clear documentation covering current-state, target-state and process flowsSupport regulatory alignment and operate in line with relevant conduct and governance standardsRequirements (Condensed)Strong experience as a Business Analyst within investment banking or financial servicesExposure to equities trading and/or investment banking workflowsProven stakeholder management skills across business and technologyExperience delivering technology change across Agile and/or Waterfall environmentsUnderstanding of data, systems integration and SDLC best practiceAwareness of AI / automation use cases within financial services preferredSQL and general systems knowledge beneficialWhy This RoleHigh-impact role within a front-office aligned technology functionExposure to strategic AI and data-led initiativesBroad stakeholder engagement across trading, banking and technologyHybrid working with strong London presence
