PowerBI Consultant - 6-12 monthsI am now hiring an experienced POWER BI Data Engineer (6 to 12 month Contract role) who will have responsibility for providing timely information, insight and analysis across the business to support critical decision-making on the basis of data gathered from a variety of different systems. I am looking for an energetic, passionate and ambitious professional with advanced knowledge of SQL and data visualisation tools, who is comfortable with working with stakeholders from financial sector. Key Responsibilities:Design, build, and optimise Power BI semantic models to support enterprise reporting and self-service analytics.Enhance report performance through model tuning, efficient DAX, and dataset optimisation.Develop and implement deployment and refresh strategies, ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment with best practices.Leverage Power BI Service capabilities including workspace management, dataflows, security, governance, and usage monitoring.Explore and implement Power Platform integrations (Power Automate, Power Apps) to enhance automation and interactivity.Create impactful, user-friendly dashboards and reports that communicate insights clearly and effectively.Develop and maintain paginated reports where required (experience with Power BI Report Builder or SSRS a strong plus).Act as a technical mentor and Power BI advocate, sharing knowledge and best practices across the analytics community.Collaborate with senior data product manager, data architect, data engineers and business stakeholders to ensure data solutions are fit-for-purpose, secure, and aligned with business needs.Skills requiredExperience of data modelling and data integration in a commercial environmentExtraordinary analytical skills and experience working on data analytics projectsExcellent problem solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlinesAn understanding of data visualisation tools and ability to use advanced data access tools (e.g. SQL).Ambitious self-starterConfident, thorough and tenaciousExceptional communication skills and the ability to build and maintain excellent relationships across different departmentsVery strong attention to detail, and strong commercial awarenessHOW TO APPLY: If you are interested in this role – please Apply
