Your work will be driving and empowering efficient and successful decentralised domain data ownership and data consumption, for example, around car pricing intelligence or deliveries. When needed, you can participate in the evolution and optimisation of our data stack, helping domains to ingest, process, and consume data across the company.While being part of a central team of data engineers across Lisbon, Berlin, and Poznan, you will be embedded in a cross-functional team focused on an Intelligent Pricing System. You will work closely with product managers, software engineers, product analysts and data scientists to identify and design new data projects and guide them through successful delivery and validation from end to end.What You Will Be DoingEnable efficient consumption of domain data as a product by delivering and promoting strategically designed actionable datasets and data modelsBuild, maintain, and improve rock-solid data pipelines using a broad range of technologies like AWS Redshift, Trino, Spark, Airflow, and Kafka streaming for real-time processingBuild data pipelines in our Lakehouse using Medallion architectureSupport teams without data engineers in building decentralised data solutions and product integrations, for example, around DynamoDBAct as a data ambassador, promoting the value of data and our data platform among engineering teams and enabling cooperationCooperate with product teams to streamline source data so that data is cleaner earlier in the process.Follow and promote data mesh principles around decentralised data ownership and ‘data as a product’Enforce privacy and security standards (privacy by design)Increase data literacy of the engineering organisation by hosting training and mentoring other engineers (both less experienced data engineers and software engineers)Who We Are Looking ForYou must be based in Barcelona+5 years of experience building complex data pipelines, including extracting and processing data from external sources via API or real-time streaming toolsEntrepreneurial spirit and ability to think creatively; highly driven and self-motivatedMaster of SQL language regardless of the underlying data technology. Writes efficient, easy-to-read, and crisp SQL code.Experience with stream processing frameworks for stateful computations (e.g., Apache Flink, Spark Structured Streaming, Kafka Streams, Apache Beam). Familiarity with concepts like event time processing, windowing, watermarks, and state management.
