Data is at the core of their growth strategy, and they are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to play a key role in evolving their data ecosystem and enabling next-generation AI use cases.Technology StackYou will work with a modern, best-in-class stack, including:Orchestration: Airflow (Cloud Composer)Cloud: Google Cloud Platform (GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Artifact Registry)Data Ingestion: DLT (Data Load Tool) for scalable, reliable pipelinesData Modeling & Quality: dbt at scale, with DuckDB to enforce strong Data ContractsDevOps: Dockerized environments, CI/CD pipelines with GitHub ActionsWhat You’ll Be DoingArchitect & Innovate: Design, deploy, and evolve ELT/ETL pipelines from multiple sources (APIs, transactional databases, file-based systems).Enable AI & ML: Contribute to building the data and platform foundations for ML models and LLM-powered agents.Business Collaboration: Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to identify high-impact opportunities and lead improvements end-to-end.Engineering Excellence: Apply strong software engineering practices (SDLC, RFCs, unit testing, code reviews) to ensure scalability and reliability.Growth & Ownership: Follow a structured 30/60/90-day plan designed to help you ramp up quickly and make an impact from day one.About YouYou’ll be a great fit if you have:Strong experience in Python & SQL (5+ years).A problem-solving mindset, comfortable dealing with ambiguity and iterating fast towards production-grade solutions 🚀A business-oriented attitude: you care about how your work impacts the company’s results, not just the technical output.Fluent English, as you’ll be working in an international environment.Nice to HaveHands-on experience with LLMs, vector databases, or AI agents.Deep knowledge of DuckDB and/or DLT.Strong foundations in dimensional modeling and data warehousing.Spanish (a plus for day-to-day office life in Madrid).What’s On OfferCompetitive salary plus a performance-based discretionary bonus.A collaborative data culture, working closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Analytics Engineers, and Analysts.Hybrid working model from Madrid (4 days onsite / 1 day remote).Open-source mindset, with encouragement to contribute internally and externally.Continuous learning, including certifications and specialized technical training.
