Senior Data EngineerContractUrgent Requirement – 2 Positions€600 per day OverviewWe are urgently seeking two Senior Data Engineers to support a critical data transformation programme, migrating reporting and analytics workloads from Qlik Sense to Google BigQuery.This role will play a key part in redesigning data pipelines, optimising data models and ensuring a scalable, high-performance analytics environment within GCP.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support the migration of data assets from Qlik Sense to BigQueryAnalyse existing Qlik data models, transformations and dashboards to redesign in BigQueryBuild and optimise scalable data pipelines within GCPDesign robust data models aligned to analytics and reporting requirementsRefactor legacy transformation logic into efficient SQL and cloud-native solutionsWork closely with BI, analytics and business stakeholders to validate data accuracyEnsure performance optimisation, cost efficiency and query optimisation in BigQueryImplement data quality checks, validation frameworks and reconciliation processesSupport documentation, knowledge transfer and best practice adoptionTechnical RequirementsStrong experience as a Senior Data EngineerProven hands-on experience with Google BigQueryStrong SQL expertise and performance tuning capabilityExperience migrating from Qlik Sense or similar BI platformsExperience designing cloud-native data pipelinesStrong understanding of data warehousing principles and dimensional modellingExperience with ETL/ELT tools and orchestration frameworksExperience within Google Cloud PlatformDesirable:Experience with dbtExperience with Airflow or similar orchestration toolsExperience in large-scale analytics transformation programmesProfileStrong analytical mindsetComfortable working in a fast-paced transformation environmentAble to work autonomously and at senior levelStrong stakeholder communication skillsDetail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and governance
